All students in Grades 6-8 participate in a Ski Week in February each year. The students travel in their grade level group. Grade 8 will travel to Appi Kogen Ski Resort in Iwate Prefecture, staying at the Appi Grand Villa 3.
All beginner and intermediate students are required to take lessons to ensure student safety and familiarity with the mountain.

Appi Kogen, Hachimandaira-shi,
Ski (skis, boots & poles) or Snowboard (board & boots) are provided in the cost of the trip. However, students are invited to bring their own equipment if they prefer.
There will be lessons given to all 8th grade students who are not advanced. Lessons will be given in ability-based groups. Lessons will be approximately ¥5,000 for two hours, at a ratio of 10 students per instructor.
Please pay for the lessons when you complete the student info & permission form.
Please note that, if deemed necessary to ensure safety, additional lessons maybe given and billed after the trip.
Students will need to bring ¥7,000 - ¥8,000 for meals and snacks
This will cover lunch on all 3 days
Dinner at airport on Friday
If you are planning on shipping ski/board equipment to the resort please do this 3 - 4 days in advance.

Flight JAL 2151 departs for Aomori Airport
